This music video is established with a close up of a body of water with rocks beneath, the camera moves in slow-motion with a tilt upwards. The audio that accompanies this is slow-motion sounding movement. The band's logo starts to fade in in the centre of the screen and establishes the band. This is quickly cut and the intrusmental of the song begins immediately, synchronous with the edit. The next shot shows a male and female running through the woods, it appears and becomes apparent that they're running away from something. This scene of them running throught the woods is intercut with a scene of a girl being gagged on a bed and an escape. The apparent predator has something poured on his eyes and face which suggests that he has done something (a presumable kidnapping) and now the pair are escaping from him. After this revealing, the pace of editing slows down somewhat which suggests that they are out of danger for the moment, which is supported by the fact that they stop running. The pair in the forest walk around for a couple more shots before resting by a pair of trees. A shot-reverse-shot is used for close-ups on the faces of them, however the low-level lighting of the night time doesn't allow for the males face to be seen as clearly as the females. The female looks exhausted but relieved. By not being able to see his face, this suggest that perhaps he still has something to hide or that he may not be trustworthy. This music video is the sequel to a short story told in music videos. The first video, I Found, tells the story of the kidnapping, in which the male in Pilot was involved. Pilot tells the story of him helping her to escape and the adventure that takes place. With this context, it is understandable that he may not be completely trustworthy despite his aid in escaping.
A beautiful wide-shot, timelapse of the sunrising allows the audience to know that it's a new day. This is then cut to mid-shot of the pair sleeping opposite eachother against the same trees.
The pair wake up and the male signals with a jerk of his head that the pair should get moving again. A wide shot with the pair at the very right shows them walking out of the forest/woods into a grassland. This could indicate their freedom,
the woods could represent them being trapped by their demons and the predator in question. Just as the pair reach their apparent freedom, the intercutting begins again. The predator wakes up, the shot is a close up at a canted angle as his eyes open suddenly. The next shot is a point of view, looking up to the tops of the trees, however there's a kaleidoscope kind of effect which implies his impaired vision from whatever substance was poured on him in the previous shots. This editing works well to capture what he's seeing and how unstable he may be. A quickly-edited sequence follows this, depicting him getting up, stumbling around and running. This stirs fear and danger for the audience and anxiety for the pair and what will happen. This cuts back to the pair walking towards the camera down a hill with a mid-shot and then to a wide-shot with the pair wading through very tall grass. This visual is beautiful and captures the British countryside in all it's power. A close-mid shot of the females hand in a stream is captured and then the camera tilts upwards to her face, she looks hopeful and excited to have found water. This indicates the next step of their survival and freedom.
The pair find a waterfall and a vast body of water and their faces, shown in a low angle mid-shot, look very relieved and joyful.
Slow-motion shots capture the pair individually splashing water on themselves whilst the camera tilts upwards to see their faces and reactions. The water is represented as symbolic. I would say that this represents their health and freedom from the awful situation that they have endured.
