30 second shot-by-shot analysis

This video opens with a long shot of a man stood up with his hands in his pockets. His costume consists of a white hate, Nike Airmax shoes, cargo-like trousers, a t-shirt and jacket. However he is in black and white. This outfit depicts casual street-wear and fits the pop-rap genre of music that they're in.
The background consists of creatively drawn scenery in which he's supposed to be. It appears to be a garage. This could suggest a very street-scene atmosphere and keeps up with their pop-rap genre. The collours consist of pink and grey and match the black and white effect on the man. There are paintstrokes and artistic movement visible as the camera slowly zooms in on him. There's a pink silouhette behind him which moves as he does, almost like Peter Pan's shadow. A very quick transition is made between this and the next shot. The transition used is almost like a wipe but uses artistic, graphic-like ways of doing this. The next shot is a mid-shot of the same man but in a different location. Keeping the tone of the video consistent. The background looks like some sort of apartments/building. Like before, there are subtle paint strokes and movements of graphics across the shots as he slowly raps along. The colours are purple and grey and keep in with the colour scheme.
The next shot is a mid-long shot and frames him at the right. The drawn background is now another different location and continues to follow the colour scheme but this time there's more white. This makes the pink strokes that move around and ontop of him much more obvious and intriguing.
The next shot is him sat down on a playfully childishly drawn bench. It appears to be a trainstation as a long shape starts to move with rectangles on it which appear to be windows. The camera slowly zooms out from this point before it cuts to another shot.
This time, there's mid-close up of the same man infront of a beautifully drawn blossom tree. The colours here consist of babe blue and a peachy orange - which are complentary and therefore very pleasing to the eyes. The camera slowly pans to the right as he raps infront of the trees and camera. This works well as he's still in black and white and creates a lovely contrast.
